Saying Goodbye

Over the last couple of days Mitzi and I have had quite a few “Goodbye’s” and over the next 3 weeks our schedule is only becoming more booked with lunches, dinners and an open house this coming Friday. I can’t believe this is actually happening. In so many ways I am relieved and excited for our new adventure to start happening in Wisconsin – but at the same time comes a realization and sadness. Many of our friends, coworkers, distant family and neighbors we may never see again. It breaks my heart.

So here is my invitation… I know we will not have the chance or opportunity to say goodbye to everyone. As I mentioned an open house is being held this coming Friday January 29th between 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. If you can make it – please come and let us give you a hug so we can say our goodbye.

It is being held at the LDS Rosecrest Ward Building at: 14172 Emmeline Dr in Herriman Utah. Directions: From 13400 South and Bangerter head West on 13400 South. When you arrive at 5600 West turn left heading South. Note: There will be a Smiths and Wendy’s on your right had side. Proceed straight through the 4 way stop sign. The 3rd right after the 4 way stop sign is Mirabella Drive. Turn right heading west on Mirabella. The 3rd Left is Emmeline - you will see the church building on the corner.

The following song keeps coming to my mind by Michael McLane. Historically I have referred to this song only in a family setting but it brings comfort to me today.

“Well it's hard to say goodbye and let go. And it's hard to see it end. When the memories we have made may never happen again. But it's harder for time to ever erase, the together times we've share. So when we're apart remember, all the love we've shared together and for all this love thank the Lord above who showed us the way...That we can be together forever someday. We can be together.Well it's hard to say goodbye and let go. And it's hard to see it end. But we can be together forever someday. We can be together forever someday. We can be together forever someday.”

Nice to see your comments on Wish bones. Hope your new house is working for you. I keep thinking I see you here and there. It must be your twin. I've been told we all have one. Mine is my sister who is nine years older. Well please keep in touch. Hug your family for me.
